Camp Services Expansion:
Demand for year round therapeutic recreation, camp and respite services has been growing significantly. The ability to meet the demand is limited by facility size and availability. The League has determined that the best way to meet this growing demand is to expand camp facilities and programming for year round use.
Board Strength and Leadership Development:
Identify and recruit leadership that meets the needs of The League and reflects the diverse communities we serve.
Human Resource Development:
Attract and retain a skilled and dedicated staff.
Strategic Collaboarations:
Actively seek out partners to develop viable programs that will maximize the strength of the staff and facilities. Any collaborative venture will preserve The League's identity and enhance its programs and services.
Autism Services:
Quality services for persons with autism are not widely available in our community. The number of people diagnosed with autism is growing. The need for autism services presents a significant opportunity for The League.
Financial Strategies:
The stability and viability of The League is dependent upon a sound and growing financial base.
Public Advocacy:
In keeping with past history, the League will lead in advocating for issues affecting and pertaining to people with disabilities and their families.
Issues that will require advocacy include: financial support, transportation, housing, health and welfare.
Marketing:
Marketing objective is to identify The League as a preeminent service provider to people with disabilities.
