2010 FLOOR & AQUA AEROBICS SCHEDULE

Session I: January 4 - February 27, make-up week: March 1 - 6

Session II: March 8 - May 1, make up week: May 3 - 8

Session III: May 10 - July 3, make up week: July 5 - 10; No class July 4

Session IV: July 12 - September 4, make-up week: September 6 - 11

Session V: September 13 - November 6, make up week: November 8 - 13

Session VI (mini-session): November 15 - December 23, No makeup week, Mini Session (5 weeks) Only 5 weeks for Friday & Saturday class.

Class Descriptions:

Aerobics & Abs:

A-low impact aerobics class offering a complete cardiovascular workout. We will tone muscle groups and end with and intense 15 minute ab workout. Intended for all levels of fitness. Instructor: Dwayne Molock

AM Jam

This is the class for those who want to JAM first thing in the morning. This is a full, active, one-hour cardio class in the ready to start your weekend. All fitness levels are welcome and please use water shoes. Instructor: Gail Williams Glasser

Aqua Optimum Arthritis

This program is intended for people who have arthritis limitations and want to increase muscle mass, balance and core strength using a combination of exercises. The class will also include nutritional information and land exercises. Instructor: Paula Chaney

Aqua Happy Hour

A non-impact intense 60 minute workout designed to improve cardiovascular endurance of participants. The class is intended for people of all levels of fitness. Be sure to inform the instructor of any medical concerns. Come on and have a healthy happy hour experience. Instructor: Judy Maberry

Aqua Arthritis Plus

Designed for people who wish to increase muscle tone, flexibility and core strength using a combination of exercises for arthritis and other limitations. This class will also increase range of motion and reduce chronic pain. Instructor: Judy Maberry

Aqua fit

The complete water workout! Builds muscle, increases aerobic fitness, improves flexibility and helps control weight. No swimming skills are necessary to attend this class. Instructor: Regina Pate

Boot Camp

This is a high intensity workout. Participants use the cardiovascular machines for 45-60 minutes. The second part of the class is dedicated to strength training that includes the use of calisthenics, circuits, and drills. The class is intended for many levels of fitness ability. Please discuss fitness objectives with the instructor before class. Body measurements are taken at regular intervals. Be ready for a tough workout! Instructor: Gail Williams-Glasser

Cardio Aqua

This popular water workout includes cardio and resistance training to help tone and sculpt without impact to the joints. Resistance tools may include buoyant water weights and noodles. Aqua is suitable for every fitness level - from beginning exercisers through elite athletes. Actual calories burned depends on individual body parameters. Instructor: Dwayne Molock

Pilates

This system of exercise combines yoga based mental relaxation, breathing, and body flexibility with precise exercises designed to improve strength and endurance. Participants must integrate control, breath, flexibility, strength, precision and body awareness. This method focuses on the development of a stronger body center (abdominal and postural muscles). It is a workout! Bring extra towels! Instructor: Gail Williams-Glasser

Stepping Fitness

Intervals of basic step aerobics are combined with low impact floor aerobics. The class also involves the use of hand-weights, exercise bands and other equipment for strength training. Aerobics is 30 minutes and 30 minutes is dedicated to strength training. You will work up a good sweat and tone your body. Instructor: Regina Pate

Step It UP

Work every muscle, in every angle, in every way. This total body workout is designed to improve muscular strength and endurance utilizing free weights and exercise tubing. Intermediate to advanced levels are welcome. Instructor: Karen Wilson

Toning with Weights

While cardiovascular exercise is a great way of burning fat, adding a little strength training to your workouts will earn you extra calories every day. Come out and see how PUMPED UP YOU CAN GET! Bring and towel and mat. This class is for all fitness levels. Instructor: Gail Williams Glasser
