CAMPING & THERAPEUTIC RECREATION


Assisted Travel: Program Information

 

Assisted Travel programs were developed to give participants another option for recreation. Trips are open to adults ages 18 and up with a variety of ability levels. All destinations and accomodations are completely accessible for those who utilize wheelchairs.

 

Dreamin' In Disney

January 8-15, 2010

Join The League as we head off yet again to explore the magical world of Disney! Spend your days exploring the Disney theme parks; Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and MGM! Enjoy the wonders of rides, shows, and Disney shopping! Don't forget to bring your autograph book and collect pictures and signatures of your favorite Disney characters. Costs include transportation, hotel, meals, admission to any attractions and theme parks, and a travel counselor to meet your needs. NOTE: You will need money for any alcoholic purchases and souvenirs.

Cost: $1950

 

Cruisin' With Carnival

April 25- May 2, 2010

Meet at the Port of Baltimore to board your ship for a fabulous and relaxing trip to the Bahamas! Carnival's “Pride” is full of excitement for you to take advantage of on your 7-day cruise. With port stops at Port Canaveral, Nassau, and Freeport, you'll get a combination of great views, crystal clear waters, duty-free shopping, and a tranquil experience you'll be sure to remember. Costs include all meals and a travel counselor to meet your needs. NOTE: You will need money for any alcoholic purchases and souvenirs.

Cost: $1950

 


Families and providers can join us!

Companions/caregivers may join the group with their participant at a discounted rate! If you register 3 or more participants for one trip, the companion can attend free of charge!

Companions are defined as a person who will assist the participant(s) with all of their daily/ personal needs. The companion is expected to stay with the participant at all times. Companion and participant(s) will share their own hotel room.

The League will be responsible for booking all arrangements, including transportation, rooming, events, and attractions.
