Day Habilitation
The Day Habilitation Program provides a safe, respectful and stimulating environment, along with skills participants can use to become active members of their community. Participants receive community based learning opportunities allowing growth in all areas of development and independence. Staff will assist participants in the development of various skill sets of every participant through integrated community settings. These areas include:
Daily Living Skills
Cooking, Cleaning, Communication, Money Recognition, and Social Skills
Health
Fitness Training, Swimming, Recreation, and Wellness Services

Participants also receive instruction from teachers of the Community College of Baltimore County including courses in gross motor therapy, music therapy, vocational and social skills.
Participants are involved in volunteer projects at local business and agencies within the surrounding community. These projects allow our participants to learn and gain basic work skills to become better prepared for the world of work.
Participants attend various community events and activities to encourage a higher level of independence and growth. They are also encouraged to engage with members of the community to gain a higher level of comfort in social situations.
Participants attend educational events in the surrounding community at local agencies, schools and city sponsored events. They also attend college courses at local community colleges to address various topics of both interest and need.
