Drop-off Location:

Weekend Respite (Drop off at the Patuxent River 4H Center): Weekend Respite takes place at the Patuxent River 4H Center in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Check-in time is at 5:00pm on the Friday of the weekend in the Dining Hall. You can find directions to the Patuxent River 4H Center below.

Weekend Respite (Using transportation from The League): If you sign-up in advance for round trip transportation from The League, check-in time is between 4:00 & 4:30pm on the Friday of the weekend. You can find directions to The League on our Contact page.

Winter Camp: Winter Camp is taking place at the Patuxent River 4H Center in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Check-in time is between 4:00 & 4:30pm on December 27 in the Dining Hall. You can find directions to the Patuxent River 4H Center below.

A few reminders about check-in:

All forms must be received by Camping & Therapeutic Recreation prior to arrival. This allows staff and nurses to prepare for the program.

All medical prescriptions must be in the original container. All medications should be packed separately and must be turned in to the nurse during the health screening. Please be sure the labels on ALL medications match what is written on the Pink Medication Form. If there are any changes please have a doctor’s order faxed or sent to Camping & Therapeutic Recreation.

Please assure that all of the participant's belongings are clearly labeled with their name. This includes all luggage, wheelchairs, pillows, etc. Please turn in your blue packing list upon arrival.

If the participant uses depends, wipes, ostomy bags, feminine pads, or any other supplies on a regular basis, please send enough for the entire stay, plus one day.

All equipment and appliances should be in good working order.

Pick-up Information:

Weekend Respite (Pick up at the Patuxent River 4H Center): Departure is on Sunday of the weekend at 2:30pm. If you would like to pick up your camper earlier, please speak with the Director to arrange a time.

Weekend Respite (Using transportation at The League): Pick-up at The League will be at 3:00pm. No alternate pick-up times can be arranged.

Winter Camp: Departure is on January 2 between 10am and 11am. If you would like to pick up your camper earlier, please speak with the Director to arrange a time.

Exit 19A onto US-50 toward ANNAPOLIS
Exit 13A onto US-301 SOUTH toward RICHMOND (Blue Star Memorial Hwy/N Crain Hwy)
Turn Left onto QUEEN ANNE ROAD
The Patuxent River 4H Center is 2 miles down on the right

From Baltimore

695 EAST/Baltimore Beltway Outer Loop to KEY BRIDGE/GLEN BURNIE
Exit 4 (on left) onto 97 SOUTH toward ANNAPOLIS/BAY BRIDGE
Exit 7 for 32-West/3-South toward BOWIE/ODENTON
Continue straight onto CRAIN HWY
