Registration in your desired program will not be accepted without all of these steps completed. Download the required forms here.

*Please note: if you are utilizing the Autism Waiver or getting full funding through a service organization, you must submit the paper registration information, along with a Plan of Care or letter of intent. Once your registration is received, a confirmation letter will be mailed to confirm your acceptance to your selected program.

4-5-6 steps to attendance: When you receive your confirmation letter, please be sure to complete the 4) green medical form and 5) pink medication form and submit them to The League at least 2 weeks prior to your program. Please read all forms carefully and do not leave any spaces blank. Make sure there are signatures where required. Download the required forms here. No spots will be held without both the registration information and the necessary deposit for each program registered for. When registering online, please be prepared to pay the deposit via electronic check or credit card. Please do NOT register online when getting full funding via other sources.

Mail your final payments to The League no later than one week prior to your program. If your final payment or letter of intent is not received by The League before that time, you run the risk of losing your spot in that program.

All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please note that if we are denied payment via the Autism Waiver or other service organization, the family will be held responsible for any monies due. Please see the cancellation policy below for more information.

Outside Funding Policy (Autism Waiver/Service Agency):

Service Agency: Camping & Therapeutic Recreation makes every effort to collect money committed by service agencies for your camping programs.  Should an agency deny funding for any reason, regardless if Camp has an intent letter from them, the family is responsible for payment of that balance.

Autism Waiver: It is the responsibility of the participant to notify the Autism Waiver Coordinator to have the Plan of Care amended should more hours need to be transferred to The League.  If Camping & Therapeutic Recreation does not have an updated Plan of Care prior to your camping session, you are at risk of being denied services until that Plan of Care is received.
Hours billed to Medicaid are split among days that the participant is at camp.  If for any reason you are not at camp on certain days, Camping & Therapeutic Recreation will still bill the full amount of hours for the camp session, but hours will be reconfigured and billed only on days the participant attended camp.
Please note: Withdrawal from a camp program with more than (7) days notice requires the $200 non-refundable deposit to be paid.  Withdrawal from a camp program with less than (7) days notice will require payment in full.  The Autism Waiver will NOT pay this fee if services are not provided, so the family/caregiver is responsible for final payment. Exceptions to this rule may be made at the discretion of the director with documented proof of medical emergency.

Eligibility Policy:The League Camping & Therapeutic Recreation programs are designed for children and adults who have physical, cognitive, emotional or multiple disabilities and their families.

For all camp programs, participants must be successful in a 2:1 camper to counselor ratio. If 1:1 services are required at all times, an additional 1:1 fee will be applied to the camp tuition. If a participant displays behavioral concerns, a 1:1 will be added in an attempt to prevent and/or redirect behaviors, provided camp has the availability and at the consent of the parent/caregiver.  This is at an additional fee and will be added to the account. Please note that there are limited 1:1 spaces. If behaviors change for the better in future sessions, a participant may be re-evaluated and may not require the added 1:1.

Camping & Therapeutic Recreation does not provide awake overnight staffing.  Please be aware that if a participant does not sleep for (2) two consecutive nights and/or is disruptive or at risk of elopement, the participant may be sent home at the discretion of the director, due to safety and health concerns of both campers and staff.

The League Camping & Therapeutic Recreation is not able to accept campers who require intensive 24 hour medical care or who require medical procedures not easily managed in a camp environment.  This is determined at the discretion of the director and/or the camp nursing staff. We are also unable to accept participants who have or need an active restraint program, who are at a high elopement risk, or who are otherwise unable to tolerate social settings.  Other medical or behavioral needs may be assessed by the director as the need arises.

Camping & Therapeutic Recreation reserves the right to determine sending a participant home, at the participant’s expense, if a participant exhibits inappropriate behavior, is sick for more than 24 hours, or is not having a successful recreational experience.  This includes, but is not limited to, participants who display aggressive behaviors, causing harm to either themselves or others, that is unable to be redirected.  Sending a participant home is done at the discretion of the director.  In these cases, the participant’s fee will not be returned.

If you are a new participant to a program, an administrator will review your application and arrange an interview with the primary caregiver prior to your camp session. We ask that you be completely honest in filling out the Skills Check Sheet, as well as during the interview, as this allows our staff to be better prepared.

Cancellation Policy:
Camp Programs:
Campers who are unable to attend their scheduled camp program will receive a refund for tuition paid minus the deposit if notification is made with more than one week’s notice.  If a cancellation is made with less than 7 days notice, no refund of tuition payments will be made.  If the camper utilizes the Autism Waiver for payments, the appropriate cancellation fee listed above will be billed to the family. The Autism Waiver will NOT pay the cancellation fee if services are not provided; therefore the family/caregiver is responsible for final payment. Exceptions to this rule may be made at the discretion of the director with documented proof of medical emergency.

Camping & Therapeutic Recreation reserves the right to determine sending a participant home, at the participant’s expense, if a participant exhibits inappropriate behavior, is sick for more than 24 hours, or is not having a successful recreational experience.  This is done at the discretion of the Director.  In these cases, the participant’s fee will not be returned. If the minimum number of participants is not achieved one month prior to the program, the program will be cancelled and a full refund of tuition paid will be made.

Health Services:For all year-round Camping & Therapeutic Recreation programs, there will be staff trained in Medication Administration, CPR, and First Aid on site 24 hours per day. There is also both a registered nurse and physician on call 24 hours per day. Health Services in our programs are limited to procedures that can be safely delivered by the staff provided. The League Camping & Therapeutic Recreation is not able to accept campers who require intensive 24 hour medical care or who require medical procedures not easily managed in a camp environment. Potential travel participants will be carefully evaluated to determine if their medical needs are able to be accomodated while on the trip. Please contact the Director if there are any questions about a participant's specific medical needs.
