Vice President, Developmental Disability Services

The Vice President, Developmental Disability Services is responsible for the coordination of all of The League’s Meaningful Day (Workforce Development and Day Habilitation), Personal Supports, and Behavior Support Services programs. The VP will provide effective leadership, staff development, program enhancement, marketing, and overall operational and fiscal oversight to ensure that the departments meet and/or exceed budgetary, regulatory and accreditation standards.

The staff RN is responsible for monitoring the health status of all League participants, completing appropriate documentation that meets COMAR regulations and actively participating in the care planning process.

 Marketing & Communications Manager

The Marketing & Communications Manager will be the lead staff person for implementation of the marketing and communications strategic plan at The League. Under supervision of the Vice President of Development, this position will direct and manage all marketing and communications activities at The League

Behavior Consultant-BCBA, LCPC, or LCSW-C

The BSS Consultant will be responsible for implementing the requested/authorized services (i.e., behavior assessment, behavior plan development, and behavior consultation).  All BSS services should focus on positive behavior interventions and utilize a person-centered approach to address undesirable behaviors which will allow individuals with disabilities the ability to reach their highest level of independence.

Youth Autism Support Counselor (DSP)

The Autism Support Counselors (DSP) are responsible for implementing the assigned participant(s) plan of care and or individual treatment plan. Working with our youth and their family to improve socialization, self-help, communication and or pre-vocational skills. Experience with persons with Autism preferred and must have own vehicle and be willing to drive participants in your car

Direct Service Professional (DSP) - Group Leader (Day Habilitation)

This position provides pre-vocational and life skills training to adults with Developmental Disabilities consistent with each participants Person Centered Plan. This is done through verbal and physical direction, demonstration and setting a good example. Skills areas include self-help, daily living skills, safety skills, socialization, leisure, basic academics, motor skills, communication and behavior management. These skills will be taught in small groups at a variety of community settings. League vans will be used to transport these groups around the community.  Must have experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.

 Behavior Technician (Day Habilitation)

The Behavior Technician is responsible for implementing the assigned participant’s person-centered plan and behavior plan, working with the participant and their family to improve socialization, self-help, communication and pre-vocational skills. The Behavior Technician will work with their assigned participant at The League and in the community. Must have own vehicle and be willing to drive participants in your car.

Program Assistant (Certified Nursing Assistant) (Medical Day)

The CNA will work under the supervision of the Manager, Health Services.  The successful person in this position will assist participants in preparation for and while in the pool during aqua therapy, engage with participants during activities and provide general assistance with activities of daily living.

Direct Service Professional (DSP) Support Counselor (Personal Supports) - Male

Personal Supports has some participants who are in need of male support staff.  The Support Counselors are responsible for implementing the assigned participant(s) plan of care, working with the participant and their family to improve socialization, self-help and communication skills. The Support Counselor will work with assigned participant(s) in the community and/or the participant’s home, depending on the participant’s needs. Must have own vehicle and be willing to drive participants in your car.

Food Service Program Assistant (Medical Day)

The Food Service Program Assistant (FSPA), under the supervision of the Office Manager and Program Director, will follow guidelines of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Health Department to ensure all health & safety measures are met daily and compliance is maintained.  The FSPA will also ensure that meals are served in accordance to the monthly preset menus.

Summer Camp Counselor

The Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for providing support and guidance to the campers assigned to their group in a live-in camp setting. Camp Counselors work cooperatively with other camp staff to foster camper independence while ensuring individual needs are met.  The League at Camp Greentop is located in the Catoctin Mountains in western Maryland and it is one of the first camps to cater to people with disabilities.

Weekend Camp Counselor

Weekend (Respite) Camp Counselors will provide opportunities for children and adults with significant disabilities to grow, make social connections, enjoy the great outdoors.  Weekend camps run from Fri. evening until Sunday afternoon and transportation is provided.
