Lifeguard (Wellness Center)

Reports to: Manager, Wellness Center
Exempt/Non Exempt: Non Exempt
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

In order to fulfill the mission of The League, the lifeguard must:

Supervise the aquatic area, using lifeguarding best practices and provide a safe environment for all participants.

Clean the pool deck, pool, whirlpool and equipment.

Inspect equipment at least daily, report equipment that needs replacement/ repair
-
Ensure all pool equipment is in good repair.

Record and maintain accurate pool/whirlpool chemical readings and reports, according to the Baltimore City Health Department and League supervision.

Assist the Manager of Wellness and other pool staff with the daily operations of the aquatic center.

Advocate for The League and people with disabilities

Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager, Wellness Center

Qualification Requirements:

Must have current lifeguard, CPR and first aid certifications. Excellent communication and socialization skills required. Experience working with the disabled population is desired.
