Sending a child to camp is often a big step for parents.  Sending someone with special needs is an even bigger step. The Snyder Center for Aphasia Life Enhancement (SCALE) is a specialty program of The League. SCALE was originally founded in July 2008, but merged with The League for People with Disabilities in November of 2014 and is the Baltimore metropolitan area’s only dedicated aphasia support and community center that utilizes the LPAA model.

The League is proud to serve as a partner to families of children with autism spectrum disorders, providing resources for parents and individualized services to children using evidence-based strategies to accelerate learning and progress towards goals.

The League’s Day Habilitation program provides a safe, therapeutic, educational, and FUN environment for individuals who aren’t quite ready to enter the world of work.

Participants can select from a wide variety of activities to participate in, while developing skills and working on individualized goals under the support and supervision of a team of professionally trained staff.
