PERSONAL SUPPORT SERVICES
Personal Support Services are designed to assist individuals in becoming more independent, self-sufficient, and active within their community. Through one-to-one support, individuals supported by The League are able to discover passions, access social and recreational opportunities, and enjoy the world around them.
The League’s Personal Supports are tailored to meet the needs of each
individual we serve, providing great flexibility in scheduling and activities.
Some common areas in which Personal
Supports are focused include:
Mobility (being able to access community resources, learning how to
navigate transportation systems, etc.)
Wellness (physical and emotional health)
Cooking/preparing meals
Housekeeping
Budgeting and money management assistance
Meeting new people/making friends
Establishing a personal network
Exploring the community
Engaging in fun and meaningful activities
Developing functional behaviors
Improving social and/or communication skills
