Program Assistant

Position:  Program Assistant

Department:  DDA Workforce & Community Programs

Reports to:  Manager, PCP

Exempt/Non- Exempt:  Non-Exempt​


Summary:  The Program Assistant will primarily provide clerical support to all DDA funded departments under the supervision of the PCP Manager. The primary duties are data entry, attendance, billing and other day-to-day functions to support the operation of the DDA funded programs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reconciles, analyzes and compares attendance and billing reports for applicable departments. 

  • Bills and maintain reports for Medicaid Services for several programs. 

  • Updates and maintains League Databases with participant information. 

  • Draft, prepare, and mail general correspondence. 

  • Maintain participant confidentiality. 

  • Maintain positive and professional interactions and relationships with staff and external partners such as families and Coordinators of Community Services.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Support to DDA department leaders as requested. 

  • May assist departments by supporting participants and their families in the new referral process. 

  • Performs other administrative duties. 

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • HS Diploma required; bachelors in a related field preferred. 

  • Must have a working knowledge of the current Microsoft office suite and have the ability to learn and manipulate new software. 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience serving in an administrative support role. 

  • Must be detail oriented and able to analyze data. 

  • Ability to type at least 45 wpm with 95% accuracy. 

  • Ability to lift and carry at least 10 lbs. (binder) and flip through folders and binders.
